Description: Pavtube is offering Easter Day Special Discount for everyone who would like to create memories and save special moments by enjoying BD/DVD movies and HD Videos on Easter Day.
Easter Sunday 2014 is April 20 and it would soon arrive. What do people do usually on Easter Day? Many churches hold special services on Easter Sunday, which celebrate the Jesus Christ’s resurrection after his crucifixion. Many people also decorate eggs. These can be hard boiled eggs that can be eaten later, but may also be model eggs made of plastic, chocolate, candy or other materials. It is also common to organize Easter egg hunts. Eggs of some form are hidden, supposedly by a rabbit or hare. People, especially children, then search for them. In some areas, Easter egg hunts are a popular way for local businesses to promote themselves or may even be organized by churches.
This year’s Easter Day, people could not only keep their tradition to celebrate the Christian belief of Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead as usual, but also apply for a new way to memorize Jesus’s sacrifice by sharing religious movies with friends and family members on mobile devices or streaming to TV via home network.
Pavtube Studio is offering special discount to celebrate this year’s Easter Day from April 18 to April 25 (ByteCopy special offer starts on April 21). All Pavtube BD/DVD programs are on sale. Good news superhero fans - Spidey is back with a bang
Superhero movies have been striving towards the almost unobtainable goal set by The Dark Knight trilogy when it redefined the genre. But, inner turmoil and moral questions aside, there is room for a playful superhero, and despite The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s failings, it sure offers up a rip-roaring adventure.
Spider-Man Running About
The critics aren’t falling head over heels for Marc Webb’s follow up to 2012’s winter blockbuster, not by any means – in fact, it shares the exact same 73% score on Rotten Tomatoes as its predecessor holds, at the time of writing.
But what the critics are saying – despite some notable plot holes – is that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 delivers the kind gut-wrenching thrill-ride action film lovers have come to expect from a superhero movie.

“A few too-broad gags aside - and even these are in the funky spirit of ’60s Marvel - this is a satisfying second issue with thrills, heartbreak, gasps, and a perfectly judged slingshot ending,”writes Kim Newman for Empire Magazine.

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2 seems to know exactly what it’s doing,” notes The Guardian’s Xan Brooks. “Webb’s film is bold and bright and possesses charm in abundance. It swings into the future and carries the audience with it.”
In comparison to The Amazing Spider-Man, Leslie Felperin writes for The Hollywood Reporter: “The plot gets itself tangled up in multiple villain strands, but in the main this installment is emotionally weightier and more satisfying than its predecessor.”
And finally, “Garfield and his co-stars contribute detailed, attentive work that just happens to be mounted on the canvas of a noisy, sprawling superhero film,” are the musings of film critic Ryan Gilbey, writing for New Statesman.
Andrew Garfield [L] and Emma Stone [R] in The Amazing Spider-Man 2
So it looks like this weekend, despite a Woody Allen film that no one is talking about, and Disney’s ‘Bears’, the place to be is watching Spider-Man with a huge box of popcorn and someone to talk about it with after. “Did you see that bit?” “Yes, I was in the cinema with you.” That kind of thing.
Here are the Sylvester Stallone’s Highest Rated and Highest Grossing Movies of All-Time.
With Sylvester Stallone's new movie, The Expendables 2, coming out this Friday we will take a look at his highest rated movies as well as his highest grossing movies of all time. Stallone is one of the most well known action stars of the past 30+ years, but is most known for his role as Rocky Balboa in the 1976 movie Rocky. The Rocky series has spawned 5 sequels, the most recent one in 2006, and are known for outstanding boxing scenes as well as their inspirational messages. If the song “Eye of the Tiger” comes on most people will automatically think of Rocky running up those steps in Philadelphia. Stallone has starred as John Rambo four times in the Rambo series, with two of the films making it into his top 10 highest grossing films ever.
Sylvester Stallone was born July 6th 1946 in New York. Since then he has starred in 51 different movies amassing $2.6 billion at the world wide box office. Out of those 51, he has written or been credited with writing 21 of them and has directed 8, such as Rocky 2, 3, 4, and 5, and the most recent Rambo movie.
Below is the list of Stallone’s highest rated movies of all time. The first and second columns show the movies name and its Rotten Tomatoes score and the third and fourth columns show the movies name and its Metacritic user score.
Stallone’s Highest Rated Movies
As you can see, Stallone’s reviews vary depending which critic you ask. The professional critic seems to lean more towards Stallone’s earlier work, while the general audience seem to enjoy his more recent movies, with three of them on the list. For me the first Rocky movie will always be his best, although I did really enjoy Rambo and The Expendables.
Below is Stallone’s highest grossing movies, showing the domestic and world wide grosses of his top 10 movies.
Stallone’s Highest Grossing Movies
Rocky IV, when Rocky had to take on Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren), takes home the crown here as Stallone’s highest grossing movie of all time. The fight at the end versus Drago is quite memorable, and many times is considered the best fight in any of the Rocky movies. With The Expendables 2 ready for release in a few days we may soon see a new highest grossing movie for Stallone.
The Expendables 2 was released on August 17th 2012. Look for two more movies starring Stallone, The Tomb and Bullet to the Head, coming in 2013.

As we approach Easter and Passover, it’s also the end of Spring Break season. Many families throughout the country (including my own) are gearing up for a week away or of “staycation” in their homes. Whether you’re going on a roadtrip, plane trip, or just staying close to home, the kids are going to be in the mood for more entertainment, and we can’t think of a better set of movies to highlight than those from the geniuses at Pixar Animation. We’re highlighting 10 of the best Pixar Blu-ray movies, not ranked as overall movies but as actual Blu-Rays with extras that are in most cases are just as entertaining as the movies themselves.
1. “Toy Story 3” (2010)
Why the Movie? We were all a bit skeptical about the chances Pixar could make a threequel as compelling as the first two films, but then bam, we were mesmerized by the poignant story of what happens to toys when they’re given to charity and end up at a day care. The toys have to fend for themselves without regular human companions, just a roomful of crying and overeager toddlers. And that ending — it may make you cry but also fill your heart.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? There’s so much here to immerse viewers young and old into the Pixar and “Toy Story” universe. Naturally, there’s the animated short “Day and Night”; there’s also a touching look at the animation, character design, and acting involved in the scene “Andy’s Goodbye”; an analysis of the openings to “Finding Nemo,” “Toy Story,” and “The Incredibles”; and “Toy Story” trivia game and more to keep Pixar fans happy and ready to re-watch.
2. “Monsters University”
Why the Movie? This clever prequel to “Monsters, Inc.” is bound to make you and your kids laugh aloud as a young Mike Wazowski attempts to score in scarer school, while undergraduate Sulley tries to fit in with the coolest monster frat at the U. There’s so much to like here — a group of misfits realizing they have something to offer; odd-couple friendship; and college jokes for both kids and alums.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? Pixar loaded their latest DVD with features, starting with the amazing short “The Blue Umbrella,” a Scare Games special, and a bunch of behind-the-scenes extras like Welcome to MU, which shows which buildings and architectural elements inspired the creation of Monsters University. There’s also a thoughtful set of interviews with various Pixar staffers who, like Mike Wazowski, took unconventional paths to get to their dream.
Why the Movie? “Up” is one of the Pixar movies closest to my heart. The intergenerational relationship between curmudgeonly widower Carl and Russell, the eager Wilderness Explorer, is adorable, hilarious, and a little bit heartbreaking. Their adventure of a lifetime is a story of love, friendship, and dreams deferred — but also a funny flightless bird and old jokes.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? The Blu-ray edition comes with extras that range from the sweet and sentimental (a 9-minute video of Carl and Ellie’s married life) to behind-the-scenes documentaries about the making of the house, the bird Kevin, and the science behind hot-air balloons. Little kids will love some of the alternate scenes and the short about the movie’s various dogs.
Why the Movie? “Brave” is not a typical fairytale, and Merida is not your typical princess. The Scottish clan leader’s daughter is stubborn and strong and utterly uninterested in following her mother the Queen’s footsteps. But a bad decision on her part turns her mom into a bear, and the movie becomes an unforgettable mother-daughter relationship drama/adventure/comedy.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? It’s chock-full of special features, like the wonderful short “La Luna” about a grandfather, father, and son who sweep the moon; the extras “Merida & Elinor,” “Bears” and half-a-dozen other behind-the-scenes videos; four deleted scenes; an alternate opening to the film; and everything from Scottish dialect lessons to a piece about how the animators got the “dirty hairy” look just right.
5. “Toy Story 2”
Why the Movie? “Toy Story 2” proved that Pixar wasn’t compromising on their sequels and broadened the toys’ world beyond Andy’s street. As the clan deals with Woody’s disappearance, the movie deepens the viewer’s understanding of the characters we know and introduces us some we don’t — like audience favorite, Jessie, the plucky cowgirl with the good fortune to sing one of Randy Newman’s best film songs, “When She Loved Me.”
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? The disc’s bonus features include interviews with Pixar animators, behind-the-scenes featurettes, an education short for younger viewers about real-life astronauts, and outtakes featuring Woody, Jessie, Buzz and the other toys.
6. “Monsters Inc.”
Why the Movie? My kids never tire of seeing Sulley the scarer and his best pal Mike Wazowski deal with the unexpected complication of Boo, the little human preschooler who ends up in Monstropolis. With its original plot, fabulous characters, believable villains, and adorable little girl, “Monsters, Inc.” is the kind of animated comedy you can watch again and again.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? One of the best extras is “For the Birds,” the Oscar-winning animated short that premiered before the movie. There’s also a second short called “Mike’s New Car”; a ton of featurettes including a tour of the Monsters Inc. ride at Tokyo Disneyland; and a series of “doors” that reveal more filmmaking info, galleries, and trivia.
7. “Finding Nemo”
Why the Movie? In the same way that “Brave” is really a mother-daughter tale, “Finding Nemo ” is possibly the best father-son movie of all time, animated or not, and it shows just how far a parent will go to save his child. It’s also a fabulous movie to see while traveling, because Marlin and Dory’s journey is at its core an homage to classic roadtrip comedies.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? There’s a lengthy (25-minute) but fascinating “Making Nemo” documentary that explains how the movie went from idea to the big screen. There’s also the animated short released before the movie, “Knick Knack,” about a snowman trying his hardest to escape his snowglobe, so he can join the bikini-clad woman lounging on a “Sunny Miami” souvenir across the shelf. The usual behind-the-scenes stuff includes cute character interviews, a fish-charades game, and a virtual book about Nemo’s teacher Mr. Ray.
8. “Toy Story”
Why the Movie? With its very first full-length feature, Pixar proved that it had mastered not just the new art form of computer animation, but the very old art form of storytelling. Because the story is so compelling, it’s easy to overlook the innovation and creativity behind “Toy Story“‘s come-to-life ragdoll, plastic spaceman, and childhood favorites.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? This DVD contains a flawless video transfer and audio track and nearly all of the special features that have been included in past home video releases of “Toy Story,” including a commentary track by director John Lasseter and others and a behind-the-scenes discussion of how the film almost went off the rails because of too much meddling by Disney execs.
Why the Movie? “The Incredibles” told the tale of superheroes torn between trying to fit in and yearning to stand out. The first Pixar feature with a PG rating, the film can be surprisingly grim — we see more superheroes dead than alive — but the human comedy of the Incredibles reminds us that at the core of every Pixar film beats a sentimental heart about love and family.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? The Blu-ray edition fully captures the crisp visuals of the theatrical presentation plus special features that include the Oscar-nominated animated short “Boundin’,” which preceded “The Incredibles” in theaters, and “Jack-Jack Attack,” a short written and directed by Brad Bird for the DVD. The disc also features a 22-minute roundtable discussion about the making of the feature.
Why the Movie? On one level, “WALL-E” is a rom-com between two robots, trash collector WALL-E and shiny rover EVE. On another level it’s a post-apocalyptic space adventure, a socio-political cautionary tale about greed and conspicuous consumption, and a warning about sitting around and doing nothing. But mostly, it’s a funny romance about the joys of finding love in the most unexpected place.
Why the Blu-ray/DVD? There’s an adorable short, “BURN-E,” and a bonus section called “Robots” with four games that will appeal to younger kids. The “Humans” features targets older viewers with behind the scenes extras like set fly-throughs, concept art galleries, and a mash-up of all the “WALL-E” teasers and trailers.

PICK OF THE WEEK
The Great Beauty (Criterion)
Paolo Sorrentino’s almost plotless portrait of the glamorous nightlife of contemporary Rome may seem on the surface to be an obvious choice for a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar. After all, it quite deliberately follows the footsteps of La Dolce Vita as an ode not only to Rome’s vast history, but its history of cinematic glitz. Yet there’s a great deal going on below The Great Beauty’s exquisitely realized surface. Rather than a simple 21st century upgrade of Fellini’s Rome, The Great Beauty is an existential travelogue, a decadent and detailed portrayal of a place uncertain about how to realize its future as a definitive global city in the culture so content to rest its champagne-soaked laurels on its extensive reputation.
We see Rome through the eyes of Toni Servillo’s Jep Gambardella, whose failure to produce a second novel after a monumental first success sets the stage for his engrossing tour of Rome’s beguiling but hollow surfaces. While it made nary an appearance on op-ed trendpieces on the topic, Sorrentino’s film belongs directly alongside 2013’s many portrayals of excess for an era of economic uncertainty. You’ll be hard pressed to find a more beautifully shot and edited exegesis on the sweet life. – Landon Palmer

Little House on the Prairie: Season One
Pitch: Like a fun version of The Waltons…
Charles Ingalls (Michael Landon) takes his family and heads west to start a new life in the vast American frontier. He, his wife, and their daughters Mary, Laura, and the little one no one remembers, all settle into a series of adventures involving new people, new races, and the worst that nature can throw at them. Through it all they have each other, and that’s a beautiful thing.
Look, I’m old and I have two sisters, so this was required viewing in our house when I was a little kid. I haven’t watched it since then, but revisiting it now left me appreciating new and different aspects of it. The God stuff is overdone, but there’s a real joy and strength to the family unit here that simply isn’t present in today’s shows. The morality is refreshing, and it’s not nearly as stuffy or uppity as I feared. Instead the characters display real humanity, a sense of humor, and heart that occasionally manages to get dust in my eyes. It’s a forty year old show that you can still enjoy with your family, and that’s pretty impressive.

Pitch: You won’t like her when she’s angry…
A mute factory worker (Zoë Lund) is assaulted twice on the same day and soon sets out for revenge. She’s understandably distressed though, and those thoughts of vengeance quickly lead to a bloodthirsty plan.
Abel Ferrara‘s 1981 classic isn’t quite the revenge thriller it’s usually been made up to be, but that’s actually for the best. Instead of hitting all the expected notes, the film takes a 180 degree turn after the initial setup. The film offers up a violent descent into madness that gives birth to a still mute and even more socially awkward serial killer. It’s unexpected, and while it’s over thirty years old it still packs a morally perverted punch that will challenge expectations as to exactly what kind of thrills the film should be providing.

The Wolf of Wall Street
Pitch: But seriously, where can I find those ludes…
Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a stock broker whose first day on the job coincides with 1987′s market crash, so he begins a life pushing penny stocks that leads him to crime, debauchery, and millions of dollars. It’s the American dream! His true strength is as a motivator and he quickly builds a company around him, but what goes up must come down leading to a federal investigation and trouble at home.
Martin Scorsese‘s latest is as audacious and energetic a piece of cinema as we’ve seen all year, and it’s a lot of fun. DiCaprio is fantastic and unleashed here, Jonah Hill is hilarious, and the only thing more frequent than the naked ladies are the F-bombs. For all of that though, the movie is easily 30-40 minutes too long. The movie says nothing in 179 minutes that it couldn’t have said in 120, and repeat viewings make the repetitive drag even more obvious. While I don’t believe it purely glorifies the real Belfort’s actions, 160 minutes of depraved joy lessens the impact of ten minutes of consequences. Still, it’s an incredible accomplishment and a searing indictment of the people on both sides of the financial divide.
A group of teens rows out to the middle of a small lake and proceeds to lose their oars, their decency, and their common sense when an over-sized carp targets them for lunch. Director Larry Fessenden has made very good movies, but this unfortunately laughable flick is not one of them. The film wants you to believe it’s intentionally bad as part of its charm and point, but it’s just poorly written, even worse on the acting front, and at no point scary or thrilling. Skip it and watch Jaws 2 instead.

Asian Hawk (Jackie Chan) is back for a third adventure and hired to find bronze heads that once were part of an ancient Chinese collection. Armour of God and Operation Condor are Chan’s other Asian Hawk films, a mix of his antics and an Indiana Jones-style adventure, are fun and exciting flicks, but this doesn’t quite live up to their achievements. The action is highly edited, CGI-filled, and continuously wire-assisted, and the humor fails to hit its mark. But it’s Chan so there’s still some fun to be had.
[Blu-ray/DVD extras: Making of]
David (Vince Vaughn) donated sperm two decades ago, and he’s just discovered he’s a father. Unfortunately it’s to 533 children. Hilarity ensues! Please note, there’s not actually any hilarity ensuing here. Chris Pratt manages a chuckle or two, but the comedy and subplots are contrived and unnecessary (in that order). Skip it and watch Loverboy instead.
[Blu-ray/DVD extras: Featurettes, bloopers, deleted scene]
Odd (Anton Yelchin) is a fry cook in a small Southwestern town, and he also sees dead people. He uses his gift to solve crimes, but when someone plans a mass murder his life is threatened in new and devastating ways. Dean Koontz‘s novel is a fantastic read, but this adaptation fails to capture the magic. Instead it focuses too much on Koontz’s biggest weakness, his sappy, cheesy, and highly unrealistic dialogue.

The Truth About Emanuel
A teen (Kaya Scodelario) befriends her odd neighbor (Jessica Biel), but their issues exacerbate each other leading to a dramatic confrontation. This indie flick is an engaging-enough drama, but its real strength is in the two lead performances.

Veep: The Complete Second Season
Vice President Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) continues her unhappy and consistently frustrating term where nothing seems to go her way. This is still a very funny show, but season two lacks the consistency of season one, and too much of the frustration spills over to viewers as Selina became a bit too obnoxious. But again, it’s still a very funny show.

Welcome to the Jungle
A group of office workers head to a remote location for a corporate retreat, but the weekend goes awry thanks in part to the wild man (Jean-Claude Van Damme) in charge. There are some laughs here, mostly from Van Damme and others in the cast including Adam Brody, Rob Huebel, Megan Boone, and others.

Summary: Now read this article to get the list of Best Animated Films Produced by DreamWorks for Kids. Do you want to know which the best and top animated movies are for kids from DreamWorks? This article will give you the clear answers.
DreamWorks, one of the few competitors to Disney in creating traditionally animated feature films. Its animation studio, DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc, is ready to show off their slate of upcoming feature films.
However, rather than announce one or two films for next year, DreamWorks has unveiled their entire line-up from 2013 through to 2016.
-March 22, 2013 – The Croods
Nicolas Cage provides the voice of Grug, a pre-historic caveman who, along with his family, is forced to relocate after his home is destroyed. Things get interesting when Grug’s daughter’s boyfriend (Ryan Reynolds) tags along for the journey.
Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon) and Kirk DeMicco are directing the film, with additional voices being provided by Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Cloris Leachman, and Clark Duke.
-July 19, 2013 – Turbo
Ryan Reynolds will be providing the voice for Turbo, and will joined by the likes of Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, and Ken Jeong for this “fish out of water” story. The film is based on an original script from David Soren, who will also be directing.
-November 1, 2013 – Mr. Peabody & Sherman
A big screen adaptation of the popular Rocky and Bullwinkle side cartoon, Mr. Peabody & Sherman follows the exploits of a boy and his dog. However, in a total role reversal, it is Mr. Peabody the dog that has all the brains, and Sherman the boy that is his loyal companion.
The Lion King director Rob Minkoff will be helming the film, with Ty Burrell (Modern Family) providing the voice for Mr. Peabody and Max Charles (Amazing Spider-Man) voicing Sherman. Rounding out the cast will be celebrated actors like Allison Janey, Richard Jenkins, and Stephen Tobolowsky.
-March 14, 2014 – Me and My Shadow
Not much is known about Me and My Shadow, but it will reportedly feature a blend ofCGI and hand-drawn animation. The story follows a shadow that “yearns for a more exciting life but happens to be stuck with a timid guy.” Josh Gad, Bill Hader, and Kate Hudson will be providing the voices.
-June 20, 2014 – How to Train Your Dragon 2
This sequel to the Oscar-nominated 2011 animated film will further adapt Cressida Crowell’s book series, which follows the adventures of the young Viking Hiccup and his dragon. Director Dean DeBlois teased that with a newfound understanding of dragons, Hiccup will gain an increased curiousity in the world outside of his village, but beyond that, not much is known about the plot.
Along with director DeBlois, Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, and Jonah Hill will all be returning for the sequel.
Based on Adam Rex’s children’s book The True Meaning of Smekday, this film boasts “the two most unlikely fugitives ever to save the planet.” The book’s plot focuses on an alien invasion of Earth as seen through the eyes of an eleven-year-old girl. Eventually, the girl encounters a friendly member of the invading alien race, and the two set off on a quest to save the planet.
Director Tim Johnson will be helming the project, and Rihanna and Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory) have signed on to voice the young girl and the alien respectively.
-March 27, 2015 – The Penguins of Madagascar
Like Puss in Boots, the penguins from DreamWorks’ Madagascar series are getting their own spin-off. There’s no word on a story, but we imagine it’ll involve at least one half-baked plan from the penguin leader Skipper.
Madagascar director Tom McGrath has signed on to reprise his role as Skipper, but iSimon J. Smith (Bee Movie) will be directing the spin-off.
-June 5, 2015 – Trolls (Working Title)
All we know is that the film will star the popular ’60s (and ’90s) dolls, and that Jason Scwartzman and Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) are on board. We shudder at the thought of this becoming a franchise…unless it turns out to be really, really good.
-November 6, 2015 – B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations
Seth Rogen leads a yet unannounced cast in a story that follows a ghost who must return to ghost school to hone his craft. There are hints of Monsters, Inc. contained within the concept, but that’s only based on the very brief synopsis.
-December 19, 2015 - Mumbai Musical (Working Title)
Mumbai Musical is touted as a Bollywood-style animated musical that is told from the point of view of a group of monkeys. No cast has been announced, but Kevin Lima (A Goofy Movie, Tarzan, Enchanted) will be directing, and Oscar-winning composed A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire) will be providing the music. This could be one of the more original animated films to hit theaters in quite some time.
-March 18, 2016 – Kung Fu Panda 3
Jack Black, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Angelina Jolie, David Cross, and Jackie Chan are expected to return for the third film in DreamWorks juggernaut franchise. Kung Fu Panda 2 director Jennifer Yuh will return to direct, and Guillermo del Toro is reportedly serving as Executive Producer on the film.
-June 18, 2016 – How to Train Your Dragon 3
If its predecessor proves successful, DeBlois and the remaining cast members are signed up to return. Considering the scant details we have about How to Train Your Dragon 2, it’s hardly worth speculating about the plot for this third film just yet.
DreamWorks’ slate is certainly an eclectic collection of films, ranging from potential awards show contenders to highly-anticipated sequels. Of the films DreamWorks announced in years past but never released, only The Croods survived to make it on this list. This leaves us wondering whether any of these films might never make it past pre-production.
